Shreeya

Shreeya is a Delhi-based visual artist currently pursuing a BFA in Painting at the College of Art, New Delhi. Painting has remained a sustained practice for her, functioning as a way of attending to questions of identity, belonging, and emotional proximity.

Her figurative works create intimate pictorial spaces where personal experience intersects with shared affect. Rather than narrative depiction, the paintings rely on gesture, texture, and colour to establish presence. The figures that appear — often drawn from the women around her — are rendered with a quiet resilience, shaped by observation rather than idealisation.

Colour plays a central role in her practice, operating less as embellishment and more as a structural device that carries mood and emotional weight. Through layered surfaces and mixed media, Shreeya allows the image to remain open, holding both immediacy and reflection.

She has participated in several group exhibitions, including the College of Art Annual Exhibitions (2023–2025), Ramen / The Empire is Wack at Mool Studio, Tiny Art Show at Kala Kutta Studio, and group exhibitions with Baro Art India across India.
